payment terms DONE DIFFERENTLY

terms DONE DIFFERNETLY

This is the place where you can learn how we think about our terms.  Our Pay Monthly Terms – The Stuff You Need to Know helps you understand how we work.  They are easy to read but legally binding.  It’s terms DONE DIFFERENTLY.

In a Nutshell

We keep it simple: no minimum commitment, pay monthly, cancel anytime. We’ll give your site the attention it deserves, provide accessible support, and be transparent about what you’re getting. You own your content, your domain and your website.  We own our code, our software and framework and themes.  We don’t do refunds, but we do respect your time and money. These terms explain how we work together without the usual legal mumbo jumbo.

Commitment? What Commitment?

There’s no minimum time you have to stick with us. You’re free to leave whenever you want. If you decide to leave within the first 366 days, our “Leap Year Guarantee” has your back. This guarantee means if you’re not happy with our service in your first year (plus that bonus day), we’ll help you transition to another provider by providing your website files and data with priority support.

How You'll Pay Us

Payments are collected via Direct Debit, Credit, Debit card, or standing order on the same day each month. Need to change your payment date? No problem, you can adjust it every when ever you wish. Direct Debit and Standing Order are the best payment options due to debit and credit cards expiring. It’s your choice how you pay and it’s your responsibility to keep your payment details updated.

Refunds, they make you feel good.

We don’t offer refunds. But, we will be happy to cancel your services upon request. You can cancel everything everywhere and your service will stop within one business day. Or, you can ask us to cancel at the end of your current billing cycle. We will make sure all your services stop and no further payments are taken.

Want to Cancel? Let's Do This

Because our services are contract free, you are free to cancel at any time.  Your domain name and website is always yours.  Our code, software , frameworks and themes are always ours.  You can see how easy we have made cancelling on our page How To Cancel.

Usage Limitations - Let's Be Real

We want you to get the best value from your website. But let’s be clear, our pricing exists to ensure you can have the website you need at a price you can afford.  Some services are only available on specific Pay Monthly Website plans and tiers.  We always try to offer what you need at a price you’ll think is a misprint.  So don’t expect us to build a million and one pages on our lowest price offering.  We have limitations.  You can see what’s on offer by looking at our Pricing page.

Support - No Soulless Tickets Here

We don’t do support tickets, they are dull, soulless and don’t always scratch that itch.  We give all our clients access to our portal.  You drop any general support issues in there.  Need to have a chat, book a call with us. You click the link, book your time and we call you back.  No waiting, no listening to “on hold music”.  We really do value your time and ours.  Support is simple and accessible to all our clients.  Our support is designed to be accessible. We answer all support requests within 1 business day.

Changes to Terms or Pricing - Heads Up!

We may need to update our terms or pricing occasionally. If we do, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice via email.  If you’re not cool with the changes, you can cancel before they take effect.  Continuing to use our services after changes kick in means you’re on board with the new terms.

Data Retention - What Happens to Your Stuff

After cancellation, we’ll keep your data for 30 days. After that, it’s gone. We don’t keep copies, backups, or secret stashes of your content. That’s why we offer the website download upon cancellation – grab it while you can.  Some data such as past invoices, payments and other data related to your account may have to kept for much longer.  This is to comply with legislation on tax.  Rest assured, when we don’t need it, it’s gone!

Acceptable Use - Don't Be That Person

Don’t use our services for anything illegal, harmful, or just plain nasty.  This includes but isn’t limited to: illegal content, spam, malware, phishing, harassment, or copyright infringement.  If you do, we reserve the right to shut it down faster than you can say “terms violation.”

Intellectual Property - Who Owns What

You own your domain name and  website, it’s always yours. You also own ] the content.  We own our code, designs, and systems. When we build you something, you’re paying for the right to use it, not to own the underlying code. Think of it like buying a car.  You own the car, not the engineering blueprints.

Service Downtime - Sometimes It Happens

We aim for 99.9% uptime, but sometimes we need to do maintenance or updates. We’ll try to schedule these during low-traffic periods and give advance notice when possible. For unplanned downtime, we’ll work to get things back up and running ASAP and keep you in the loop.

Dispute Resolution - If We Don't See Eye to Eye

If there’s a problem, let’s talk about it like adults first.  Contact our support team and we’ll do our best to sort it out.  If we can’t resolve things directly, disputes will be handled under UK law and jurisdiction.  We’d rather buy you a beer and fix the issue than meet in court, so let’s start there.

Communication - How We'll Keep in Touch

We’ll email you about important stuff.  Not endless marketing fluff, just the things you actually need to know about your service.  We might occasionally send you useful tips or updates, but we promise not to clog your inbox.  If you don’t hear from us, it means everything’s working as it should.

Third-Party Services - When We Bring Friends to the Party

We may use third-party tools and services to make your website awesome.  This might include hosting, analytics, payment processors, or other tech that makes the magic happen.  While we choose our partners carefully, we can’t be held responsible for their actions.  Their terms may apply to those specific services.

Third-party integrations that we pay for will stop when you cancel your services with us.  However, any third-party services that you’ve set up yourself may still be billing you even after you cancel with us.  Make sure you cancel any services you’ve arranged separately that you may not need anymore.  We can’t cancel those for you.

Account Security - Lock Your Digital Doors

You’re responsible for keeping your login details safe and secure.  Don’t share them, write them on a Post-it stuck to your monitor, or use “password123”.  If someone gets into your account because you left the keys under the digital doormat, that’s on you.  Let us know immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access.

Privacy Policy - The Data Stuff

We have a separate Privacy Policy that covers how we handle your data.  It’s part of these terms by reference, so check it out.  We don’t do shady stuff with your data, but the full details are there for the curious and the legally minded.  Check out our Privacy Policy, it’s here on Privacy – It’s A Right page.

Force Majeure - When the Universe Intervenes

If a meteor hits our server room, aliens invade, or other events beyond our reasonable control occur, we can’t be held responsible for service disruptions.  We’ll do our best to get things back on track ASAP, but acts of God, natural disasters, global pandemics, or government actions might cause delays.

Special Offers & Promotions - The Good Stuff

Sometimes we run special offers or promotions.  These may have specific terms attached (like time limits).  Once a promotional period ends, standard pricing applies.  We’ll always make the transition clear before any changes take effect.  No nasty surprises.

When We Might Pull the Plug

We reserve the right to terminate services if you: seriously violate these terms, don’t pay your bills after multiple reminders, engage in illegal activities, or create security risks.  We’ll give you notice unless it’s an emergency situation.  You’ll still be able to download your website content if we terminate services.  Your domain name and website, they are always yours.

When We Might Pull the Plug

You need to provide us with accurate information, respond to requests for content or approvals within reasonable timeframes, and generally play nice. We can’t work our magic without your input, so ghosting us will slow things down. If a project stalls for over 30 days due to lack of client input, we may need to revisit timelines or pricing.

We reviewed these terms on Monday the 10th March 2025, they are still looking really well and are still active.
