We invest our time on our website, not socials.
We don’t have any social media profiles. We don’t take this stance to be different. We just see social media as a time sink and distraction. We see our time as either invested or wasted.
So if you find us on your socials, it’s one of your friends that have shared our content, NOT us.
No Social, Not Anti-Social
Social media started out great!
From local events, charities and businesses all having a way to reach their audience. Everyone loved it. From Bebo and Myspace, later Facebook and Twitter (now X). Social media has become a data mine where the users have become the product. What we do on our website is our product, nothing else.
But, like everything else, when you’re chasing money and measuring success by either your user base or profit margins, it’s downhill from there. How many of us remember social media being less complicated? So many hours are wasted on social media.
Then there is the pay to play mentality. You have taken time to build an audience only to have to pay to boost your posts to that same audience that once seen everything you posted.
As a company and as people, we’re not anti social media. For the right business, it can be a powerful way to get noticed or educate an audience. We’ve just chosen to invest that time elsewhere.
